Global Water Intelligence has disclosed the nominations for the Global Water Awards 2021.

Established in 2006 by Global Water Intelligence, the awards are considered one of the most predominant honours in the water industry. The chosen plants and companies are shortlisted by a panel of industry experts, evaluated and picked by the subscribers of Global Water Intelligence and Water Desalination Report.

This year for Desalination Plant of the Year, four plants located in the Gulf and west pacific have broken into the final round of the competition, as listed below.

Al Dur 2 IWPP, Bahrain; 230,000 t/d

Khobar I SWRO, Saudi Arabia; 210,000 t/d

Marina East Desalination Plant, Singapore; 135,000 t/d

ZPC Seawater Desalination Project, China; 100,000 t/d
